I’ve been backing off blogging while moving servers because of blips with things not transferring properly, images not being uploaded yet, not being able to upload anything new, and I started watching anime again so I started up yet another new blog. So here is blog #5: Shinigami Only Eat Apples. If you’re into anime do add me to your readers. I’ll be sporadically babbling about anime over there and testing out Blogspot properly for the first time ever. I will be back soon, promise!

Quick note just to apologise for the mess recently. I’ve been holding off on posting because of moving servers and all that jazz and now images are broken. This is (semi) intended and shall be fixed asap. :) The important thing? I can now update plugins via the dashboard!

As I appear to be blogging at the moment I’m looking to tidy up my Google Reader, removing folk who sadly no longer blog and adding people I’m not following that I should be, so that I can join in a little with the community. These links will also spill over into my blogroll a little :) .

Wooee! This past week I’ve got quite a lot done. We worked out the terrible lag issue I was having (we switched the USB wireless thingies and I’m fine now, doesn’t seem to affect Dan so much) which is fantastic even if I did miss Bastion of Twilight because I physically couldn’t play. *sob* Will definitely plan a run of that again at some point.

Priest

The big news of the week is my Priest’s successful faction change and transfer to Human and Ghostlands. I was terrified after some bad race change experiences in the past and what with Seithir being the character I’m most attached to but in the end I adored it. I spent ages squeeing over my changed mounts and getting on with Darkmoon Faire dailies and doing a couple of instances. I didn’t realise she could still benefit from Valor Point gear!

I also finally got the Sea Pony on her and the Darkmoon Turtle. Decided to speed up the DMF pet gaining process by also doing the dailies on my Mage and Death Knight though I’ve been slacking with Soup. My Mage, however, got the Darkmoon Cub so that’s 3 more down and I might be able to get one more tomorrow. I’m still undecided between the monkey and the balloon.. I’m not a big monkey fan.

Mage

Well we’ve really done well with our levelling in the past week! (SPEED LEVELLING! WOO!) We were just starting Wrath content this time last week but at the time of writing this post we’re very close to 83 which is amazing. I can’t wait to finally be 85 and able to get on with working on the LFR Time Lord set for transmog in the future. Any help obtaining that one appreciated!

Professions

I’ve worked on Jaedia’s professions as much as I’ve had time for. The economy on Ghostlands is a bit worse for wear but I’m struggling along. Enchanting is up to 382, just hoping Infinite Dust becomes less than 12g a piece soon. Starting to regret snubbing it at 9g a piece on Twitter earlier. And Jewelcrafting is up to 100 which allowed me to do the Darkmoon Faire Jewelcrafting quest. Okay, so 105 then. I don’t believe I’ve touched Soupy’s professions the past week but there’s a bit of ore and dust floating around after all of the transfers recently.

Gold

Brought over 50k and a few bits to sell when I transferred! So this is on the rise though I’m no where near ready to start getting back into the market properly. Having close to 60k gold is nice though.

Guild

Dan’s transferred his Paladin over and a mutual friend seems to be planning to bring his over as well. Also, Reliq seems to be a little scared of poor little Soupy. She only wanted a hug!

A Sidenote

I just found my bucket list summary from just before Cataclysm hit and it made me a little sad. I had achieved so much at this point and I was so very excited for the prospect of Cataclysm and I ended up so disappointed that I don’t think I hit many of the new goals I had set at all. It’s a shame but I’d like to keep my goals realistic and maintain a calm enjoyment of Mists with an awesome group of people. That is, after all, my main goal in this game.

Do Excuse The Mess..

As if I don’t have enough to do at the moment with job hunting, reading, keeping my book blog going, networking for that, gaming on the side, and of course the inevitable social life, I seem to have decided that I miss WoW blogging too much and would really like to give it a good go again. Remember the last time this happened? And the time before that? And then I sat down and thought, “But what exactly did I write about? What was it that people came here to read back when I blogged regularly?” You know.. If I had to guess, it would be my guides and perhaps my weekly round-up posts ((am I right?)) but who knows. I do, however, miss the community and the feeling of pride I had in my little space in the WoW blogosphere. Whether I find the time to get started and keep going or not is beside the point, to begin with, I felt the need for a little spruce. I wasn’t fond of my last theme or the theme I used to use back when, so I’m fiddling around a little so please do excuse the mess while I figure things out. I shall have to poke around in the CSS to change the header, the title font, maybe the navigation colour (grey? eugh), the RSS icons, and work out exactly why I can’t use auto-update in WordPress for my plugins, and I’m not great with CSS or the inner workings of when web design goes bad, but I’m hoping to have a little space I’m happy with when I’ve finished and I’m really hoping to have a blog you guys can enjoy reading again. Maybe I’ll talk about other games from time to time but I pretty much only play RPGs and simulation type games so I should imagine it won’t be outside of your comfort zone unless you really hate Guild Wars because I’m pretty eager for Guild Wars 2 BUT that’s beside the point!

Any thoughts, tips, ideas or help regarding future topics/features or any of the coding thingies I’m currently unsure about would of course be welcome!

I haven’t blogged here in a while and I loves you so I thought, as I’ve been posting my progress reports on my book blog (which is my reason for sucking, by the way), I would let you guys know with a casual point at the top of my sidebar. Oh yeah. Get me. I have a SEARCH BAR!

OH, that NaNoWriMo Winner 2011 button? *flips hair* Yeah, I did that.

Okay I can’t do nonchalant. MY THIRD YEAR OF TRYING AND MY GOD I’VE WANTED TO WRITE A NOVEL SINCE I WAS FUCKING FIVE!! I’m so excited right now, really. Couldn’t you tell from the caps? I’m getting somewhere! This is a step forwards! Yay! *happy dance*

Anyway, I am still playing WoW and I did sign up for the annual pass but with NaNoWriMo going on and all of the reading I need to do for the book blog and the fact that we’re moving in December, I have probably been playing for perhaps 2 or 3 hours per week! But tomorrow I get a flying tyrael golden pony and get to transmog my gear. YAY. Except after spending ages collecting my Priest’s unique transmog set and deciding what to get for my Death Knight, I might not bother. My Priest eventually, most likely, but I really like the Death Knight tier 13 set.

*runs around in circles* I might also be high on caffeine right now, I won’t lie.

What Do You Guys Like Seeing Here?

I know the awesomes amongst you will say, “Anything! We heart you!” *cough* ((Still don’t believe you but I’ll take your word for it!)) But I would genuinely like to know which of my posts you guys enjoy the most. I don’t have too much time to blog constantly.. I’m pretty busy with Once Upon A Time (my book blog) doing the memes, networking, reading, writing the reviews, and so on, but I actually got my interest in gaming back. Okay, not counting my little affair with Sims 3 because really, do you want to read about how my lesbian sims are fighting because one of them shaved her head and the kids are getting themselves off to school? Seriously think Dan must think I’m nuts when I’m playing that the kind of commentary he gets. But I got my interest in WoW back a little. I’ve been casually doing my auctions, I finally did Ulduar 25 on my Hunter and got the drake and the title, I’ve done a few instances, found a great spot to farm the Oozeling, and I started finally levelling my Warlock using the Real ID grouping thingy for the first time (hi Kev!). So yeah. Though I am working out what to do about the whole ‘who is my main?’ situation, because all of my achievements and collections are on my Priest and my Hunter, I don’t enjoy my Priest, my Hunter’s okay.. but I really enjoy my Death Knight and my Warlock who barely have anything and I’m not entirely cool with starting again and it feels kinda weird collecting achievements and pets on a character I don’t plan to play.

I don’t want to do a “and then I did this and then I got this achievement and then we all were like WOOT” kinda post. I could. But I don’t want to. Guides are great but so time consuming and I’m still not sure if there’s a working version of WoW Model Viewer these days? Plus they’re no fun if nobody reads them though, when I get around to replying to my emails (I got pretty bad at that recently) I might be able to remedy that. I’ve been having a pretty tough time so the lighter posts just aren’t in me. And then you get the great discussion posts, the ‘feminism in World of Warcraft’, and the ‘why 10 mans are better than 25 man raids’, the kind of things that people have opinions on and they become hot topics (sometimes) and the lovely folk at MMO Melting Pot link back to and people disagree and they’re fun and.. I don’t know if I have any of those.

So! I’m asking you guys, as you’re the ones who have to read it. Well you don’t I guess, but I’d really like it if you did else who else will? So you kinda do have to read it. Jus’ sayin’. What would you like to see here? What kinds of posts do you most enjoy from me? Anything I’ve mentioned, or anything I haven’t mentioned that you have in mind at all, posts you’ve enjoyed in the past, please leave them in the comments. I don’t bite! Unless you don’t leave comments then I might. If you have any prompts even better, I’m grateful for all the muse I can get because I’m pretty stumped and that’s why I’ve been so quiet over here recently.

PS. I have 2 blogs on the same server space. One will auto-update perfectly fine. The other just refuses to and I have to manually update everytime a plugin has a new update. This is a pain, any ideas how to fix it? Would reeeally appreciate help on that matter!

The ‘I’m Still Here’ Ramble

Hey guys. *sheepish*

I always promised myself that I would never be one of those people that just stopped updating without a word but.. I just haven’t had anything to say. I’ve been focusing a lot on my other blog, which I have renamed Once Upon A Time. The ‘rantpage’ url still works, but it does have a new url and a new name because I’m pretty much using it as a book blog now, so in future if I decide to blog about gaming, it will probably be here. So an apology in advance to those of you who don’t like your wow feed being ‘littered’ with other games.

Just letting you know I’m still here, and I haven’t quit WoW. I’ve been doing dailies on Kalithe though I skipped a few days because BLERGH dailies. And I played Fae a little in the past few days as well. She pretty swiftly got 346 ilvl and I’ve only done maybe 4 heroics. I found the Lava Bolt Crossbow for 25k gold, I couldn’t resist! It’s definitely a sexy weapon :P

And you remember that epic Steam sale? I grabbed Oblivion goty edition for £8, Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword for.. however much that was. Few quid. And the Guild Wars trilogy (*SQUEE!*) which is really what I was keeping my eye open for! I’m desperately looking forward to Guild Wars 2, it looks and sounds amazing. But I’ve never played the first Guild Wars, and £30 for the whole thing, while a good deal, isn’t quite affordable for me so I absolutely had to grab it when it was up for £12.49. Yay! I didn’t manage to yoink Eye of the North sadly, but on its’ own it won’t be quite so bad to get my hands on. So I am very excited for the time when I get a moment to dig in because they were some very good finds. I would have liked a few others (see: the wishlist) but money permitting and all that jazz.

So yus, but I’m still focusing on WoW, my book blog, reading, and all of the IRL-land things I need to do as well. And I may have a slight book buying addiction but you’ll be glad to hear I’ve rediscovered the library and MY GOD libraries have changed. I was very impressed! The main reason I didn’t use libraries (apart from I really like to own my books) is that I have an issue with late fees but now you can renew online I don’t have that problem!

So yes. All is good. We may be moving in a few months but I doubt that affects any of you guys.

I may not have posts for a fair while more because I can’t be arsed to just post filler, but I’m usually blogging somewhere. At the moment I’m at Once Upon A Time, as mentioned, and you know you can always find me on twitter unless I’m away.

I Love You.. Not?

There seems to be a new bizarre phenomenon in this game in which people randomly whisper you with declarations of, “I love you” and keep going on and on with it. ((Or, at least, that’s what I’m led to believe..)) This has happened to me twice since I came back, from two different characters and to two different characters of my own, and whilst I can’t help but imagine it’s the same guy on his alts, it seems to be some kind of bizarre form of trolling, because hell they do not leave you alone until they realise they are not going to get a rise out of you. Is that all there is to it? They’re definitely persistent enough to be annoying. Where the hell did it come from?

I couldn’t find a screenshot of the first one in which the guy started telling me he’d do anything for me ((bwuh? Oo)), but I did get last night’s.

After that he again asked if I love him, to which I replied something along the lines of, “Not really, I’m just trying to work out what bizarre form of trolling this is but I got nothing :p” and he replied, “K” and left it at that. I guess it’s nice to imagine I’m just that loveable. ;)

Have you guys ever seen this kind of thing?
