Loremaster Number 2 Please

I realise that most of you think I’m crazy for having 2 characters with Loremaster, and of course, it was a little bit dé jà vu, but I did most of it on my Priest early last year, then rerolled to my Hunter before I could finish Kalimdor. Of course, assuming I was sticking with my Hunter, I went through it all again, with the brains to realise it’d be best to do Kalimdor first THEN Eastern Kingdoms. When I went back to my Priest, I had 80 quests left until I had the achievement. Did you really think I was gonna leave it like that? Noway! Anyway, so, I’ve slacked a bit but finally:

I think when it gets to the point when you have 2 characters with Loremaster, you reach the point where ‘the Insane’ seems like an excellent idea. I just need to find a bit of insanity first.

Some Things…

…are really worth celebrating.

Sidenote: Love the Tim Burton-esque signs in the Undercity!

I finally finished Loremaster! Woohoo!

I have a to-do list before I transfer, some of it may not reach completion *sniff* but:

  • Finish the AQ chain which I’m partway through
  • Finish the Quel’dalar chain which I’m halfway through
  • Do BB King because Dan promised he’d help me with it
  • One Light – I doubt I’ll get a successful group, but it’s been the last achievement I need since roughly October, I’m more than a little desperate by now.
  • Remember to stock up on gold, heirlooms and whatever else I want to bring with me
  • Think of a name as both Fae and Jaedia are taken (if you have any ideas that fit a Draenei Hunter and perhaps a variant on Fae, please, please leave a comment, I’m drawing a blank!)

Just a few things I’d really like to finish without transfers and faction changes messing them up at all.

And Then There Was Mage

Of course, I am a fickle person, suddenly something became shiny.. I’m very easily distracted. Meet my mage. The first blood elf I created. On the first day of TBC. She’s level 26 and I feel like I’m levelling an antique. It’s fun and I can’t believe in the past 3 years I haven’t levelled it yet.

A little about her name first, Twylite. This dates back to when I was doing my A levels (post-compulsory education, pre-university, for the non Brits reading). I was an avid English Literature geek and one of our English teachers decided to go to London for this Blake walk thing. In the morning we went to one of the art museums, which was semi-boring but at the same time I had some awesome friends with me who made the whole trip much more interesting. Halfway through the day, one of the other students was holding the map with the walk route on it, the tube went past, the map was sucked under onto the track. So for the rest of the day, a few of us went off to another museum, a modern art museum, with huge slides and strange things like that. Walking back across the Millenium bridge, I could see St. Paul’s Cathedral, by the light of twilight, the sun had just gone down and I commented how that was my favourite time of day because it’s so beautiful. I decided this would be the name for my mage then.

I wanted to make my first blood elf a mage because it was a class I hadn’t tried yet, everybody and their dog would be making blood elf paladins, which was a class I wanted to make, but when it had settled down a little, I basically chose mage because it would be different. At this point, my main was my undead warlock so I had no plans to reroll, however I got to about level 20ish and made a blood elf priest, which I levelled and made my main. My mage was left around this level for that long.

Saturday night I had an urge to play her, so I logged in, headed to Hillsbrad, and did a couple of random dungeons. I loved it. The mage class feels comfortable, which I’ve only ever felt with hunter and priest. Though, I’m starting to think I should level my 65 druid first, she’s so close already and I could use a herb/alchemist. Also enjoy the feral and tree dual speccing, kitty for questing, tree for instancing. Of course, my first priority at the moment is Loremaster, though it goes to show how much of an altaholic I am doesn’t it.

Surprised to See an Orc Here? Don’t Be.

Patch 3.3 brings a few changes to the Undercity, it is now filled with Kor’kron Guards (source). After what happened at the Wrathgate, it seems the Horde are taking out their whip on the Forsaken, to ensure that no more major slip ups occur. Kor’kron Overseers have replaced the Abomination guards, there are Overseers in the Apothecary, and Bragor Bloodfist has replaced Varimathras as the.. quest giver. So good news for those doing Loremaster or generally wanting to finish a few instance quests! In patch 3.3, you’re not limited on whether you’ve done Wrathgate or not.

As a Hordie, I quite like the Undercity. It’s interesting, and who doesn’t love Sylvanas? After the big battle to gain it back as a Horde city, a few changes around the place are quite nice to see. The rest of the Horde would want to keep an eye on them. I only wonder why they didn’t add this sooner.

Saturdays

Sometimes love Saturdays, they can be spent doing the most random crap.

I spent most of the day finishing off my Netherwing rep, egg hunting is so easy these days. I think I found a Chinese farmer in the caves, level 80 guildless alliance DK, wasn’t an orc, just ran around killing slimes, I suppose there are very few places they can farm these days (not that I appreciate them at all.)

Not having much to do after that I flew around looking for rares, found 4 :o Kraator in Shadowmoon Valley, the elemental guy around Oshugun in Nagrand, the Blood Elf and Nuramoc in Netherstorm. I love NPCScan. Well on my way to getting Bloody Rare which is awesome.

I did the Path of Conquest stuff to get the tabard… I was dragged around ZG, Onyxia and AQ trash for the mounts. I told Dan, “first trash pack red will drop and you’ll be gone.” First mob [Red Qiraji blathing] “told you.” So yeah after a run through there he ran off to do the daily heroic so I soloed the trash a bit, annoying to solo but easy enough, got the Green, Yellow and Blue ones.

Last night I decided I want to do Loremaster, why.. I really don’t know, a part of me wants to go for ‘The Insane’ but I don’t think I can bring myself to get that much Bloodsail rep, then back to goblins, and Darkmoon Rep.. and… arg… so yeah, no Insane.

PS. Sorry this post is so late.. I was hoping some news might pop up, that and I ended up raiding last night.
