I’ve compiled myself an Icecrown Citadel gear list, for my hunter. This is by no means final, and some slots have more than 1 item because I haven’t gone over which pieces will be best for hit yet, and I assume the list on MMO Champion isn’t complete yet either but I thought I’d share my list anyway, it’s a nice start point considering 3.3 is so close. Some of the links below link to the MMO DB, which don’t have tooltips like the Wowhead links do so you’ll have to click on them to see the stats.
When it comes down to main hand weapons, nothing has really stood out to me yet, I’m still drooling over Hellion Glaive.
Update 09/12/09: Zod’s Repeating Longbow drops from Lady Deathwhisper, 25.
Woke up this.. afternoon to the sound of, “Ooh ooh Tier 10 stats!” To which I replied, “Shaddup I wanna see them myself.” Or perhaps something less mean.
- Ahn’Kahar Blood Hunter’s Handguards
- Ahn’Kahar Blood Hunter’s Headpiece
- Ahn’Kahar Blood Hunter’s Legguards
- Ahn’Kahar Blood Hunter’s Spaulders
- Ahn’Kahar Blood Hunter’s Tunic
So, not only are these pieces well itemised, it’s kind of clear from the word go which piece to not go for looking at the stats and socket bonuses. Every single piece has a red socket with an agility bonus, with the chest having somewhere to put your Nightmare Tear. The legs are the one piece I’m not impressed with, and I wouldn’t say they’re too awful either. I’m a happy hunter.
I have no interesting story about For The Horde seeing as by now this has probably been over blogged by every man and his dog. The usual, a raid happens, we take about 5 tanks which is of course way too many, people lag behind and need summons, we takes ages getting anywhere, but the faction leaders still go down and the happy children receive their bears. Though, how do the bears fit in the mailbox? Might be time to report Thrall to D.E.H.T.A. I did grab a few screenshots though, hover over the images for captions.
PS. It took Dan a year to finally get Stormwind and Ironforge, he had Darnassus and Exodar at 70 so highfive to him..
PPS. For the record, after playing alliance for a while, felt a little bad killing Bronzebeard and Velen for the sake of a bear, I quite like them. No problem at all with Tyrande and the King though
And as a side note, we have the Calico Cat and Albino Snake available from Breanni for 50g each when patch 3.3 hits. They’re on MMO Champion if you want to take a look. (i.e. I refuse to hotlink and cba to save and upload) In the same post, we also have the current Tier 10 models available to see. As I haven’t mentioned either hunter or priest yet, here are my opinions: I like them. The hunter set is slightly boring in my opinion, but so are the rest of the hunter sets, so as long as we get the purple one I’m happy. Priest looks decent now that they’ve changed the helm model a little, before it was a collar, now there’s a hood. Great way to hide my priest’s ugly face.
Patch 3.3 brings a few changes to the Undercity, it is now filled with Kor’kron Guards (source). After what happened at the Wrathgate, it seems the Horde are taking out their whip on the Forsaken, to ensure that no more major slip ups occur. Kor’kron Overseers have replaced the Abomination guards, there are Overseers in the Apothecary, and Bragor Bloodfist has replaced Varimathras as the.. quest giver. So good news for those doing Loremaster or generally wanting to finish a few instance quests! In patch 3.3, you’re not limited on whether you’ve done Wrathgate or not.
As a Hordie, I quite like the Undercity. It’s interesting, and who doesn’t love Sylvanas? After the big battle to gain it back as a Horde city, a few changes around the place are quite nice to see. The rest of the Horde would want to keep an eye on them. I only wonder why they didn’t add this sooner.
More news! Gotta love new patches. First thing I noticed is that apparently Silencing Shot and Arcane Torrent also interrupt non-player targets’ spellcasting for 3 seconds now, the tooltips are being changed to commend this. Explosive Trap now scales with Ranged Attack Power, I’m not sure why this made me happy because I hate trap dancing in raids, I love my little safe corner at max range. Point of No Escape will now increase the critical strike chance of all of your attacks on targets affected by your Frost Trap, Freezing Trap and Freezing Arrow… more hints at trap dancing? And Lock and Load now has a 22 second cooldown (down from 30 seconds). I’m not sure really how to take these changes, perhaps I’ll spec MM to avoid trap dancing and be one of few people who doesn’t suck at interrupting. We’ll see.
Another couple of things are the models found. One of King Terenas, Arthas’ father, which I’m sure excites all of the lore freaks.. I think I’ve become one of those. As well as the model of Bigglesworth’s Ghost! This excites me as a pet collector because it points towards Kelthuzad… more hints of Lil KT!
Anyway, finally I will mention the weapon models. I’m only going to link bows, crossbows and guns. Personally, I don’t like the crossbow or the gun model, they both look a little boring in my opinion and I hope the bow is either really awesome, or they change the models..
Two things worth mentioning that I noticed in the new 3.3 patch notes.
Misdirection: Is being changed so that it no longer has charges but lasts for 4 seconds, and any damage you do in those 4 seconds will be redirected to your misdirect target as threat. Also, several hunters can now misdirect at one time. So no more scrambling for the right shots when you misdirect, woot.
Avoidance: Pets now take a 90% AoE reduction from this talent, but this is not including in player AoE. To be honest, I’m surprised this wasn’t already in the game. I thought they would have added it a while ago.
